News And Updates:
06/14-Thanks to everyone who was at the Tribal Cafe tonight for bearing with us during our last-minute acoustic set! Muchas gracias especially to those of you who provided impromptu percussion via shaker eggs & tambourines. Come see a more full-bodied, drummer-tastic Shiloe at Mr. T's Bowl in Highland Park on June 23rd. And yes, we are in the market for a new drummer, so if you know of any drummers who need a home, we're currently looking to adopt!! 06/03- Send us an email (shiloe@shiloe.com) or contact us on myspace with your name to be included on our ulimited guest list for Monday's Viper Room show being presented by Indie 103.1. 05/24- We're heading out on the road tomorrow for our a week long tour. We've made cds with two songs from our upcoming ep that we'll be handing out to everyone who purchases a shirt or copy of our last ep! 05/15- We have two great shows this weekend! Friday at Bordello with Repeater & Hundred Days, plus DJs Brian Vasquez (KROQ) & Lady C (LittleRadio) spinning between and after the bands. REQUEST US!! talky: (800) 520-1067 Thank you. We love you. xoxoxo 01/20- We just put up some pictures from recording...here 12/17- We've been selected as Band of the Week on JimDunlop.com! DUNLOP says "Fuzzy tunes to skate pools by. These guys rock and bring that old school tone with a new production value. Killing!" Thanks for the free goodies Mr. Dunlop. 12/12- We spent today rehearsing for tomorrow's recording session with our old friend Mr. Haynes at his studio in downtown L.A. Tomorrow will be a day of recording to get four or five (depending on how the day goes) new songs done for a ep to be released early next year! As a side note, I'm listening to Terry Reid "Brave Awakening" right now, man he has an amazing voice. 11/26- The blog Amateur Chemist has written some blurbs about all the bands that played with us on November 12th's Indie 103.1 Check One...Two night at The Viper Room. Go here to read on.. Shiloe started off the evening with a sound heavily influenced by the Pixies mixed with some Sonic Youth. Ken Ramos (Vocals/Guitar) had a vocal delivery that resembled Thurston Moore and was squeezing a sharp fuzz from his Gibson SG. Melissa Pleckham (Bass) had a Rickenbacker bass that was filling the room with low notes. Their latest release is "Please Remove Your Teeth From My Neck" which you can download from itunes. I will have to check them out again. 11/01- We have an unlimited free guest list for our Indie 103.1 show with Gliss, The Morning Benders and The Idyllists at The Viper Room November 12th. Come to our Free Spaceland show with Gliss on Monday the 28th to say hi to him! 05/10- We just booked a couple of really exciting shows, so head on over to our upcoming shows section for details! 05/07- So...I got a new computer and haven't been able to update this section for a while, but I finally figured this thing here out. We have been playing with different friends on drums for our latest shows while we look for a replacement. Thanks so much to Daniel Clifford, Chy Lin, and Charlie Woodburn for playing these shows with us. You guys are all awesome drummers and swell folks!!! And...check out the new video from the band Repeater, featuring a cameo from us. 01/21- Thanks to everyone who came out for our West Coast Tour dates in Portland, Seattle, Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco, and to everyone who lent us a couch or futon for the night!! In other news, we've got most of the dates booked for our January west coast tour so stop by our upcoming shows section to see where we'll be. 11/07- Our first EP "Guardian Ear Of The Radio Nurse" is now finally available online at itunes in adition to emusic.com and rhapsody.com! 11/01- If you live in Spain, you can now hear us on your radio dial on Cielo Liquido, or online at Cielo Liquido's webpage! 10/28- Our first EP "Guardian Ear Of The Radio Nurse" is now available online at emusic.com and rhapsody.com! 10/12- Recording and Recording and Recording and (say in a Pee Wee Herman voice for best effect) 09/19- We're planning a west coast tour in January with stops in San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Sacramento, and Fresno. It's our first tour, so setting it up is a little daunting. Any recommendations for venues or bands to play with in those areas is MUCH appreciated. Stop by and support local music and one of the few music stores that will still let a band with no label and no money sell their record there! Sea Level Records 09/10- We're taking a short break from playing out live to finish up our new ep. We're recording here and there with our good friend Mr. Haynes, and so far it's going great. Organ Magazine in the U.K. has also named our ep as demo of the week! 08/04- We're heading into the studio to record a new ep. Thank you to all of the people who showed up, it was amazing to see so many people in a foreign country who like our music and know our songs. We're going to upload some pictures from that show, the show in Austin, and our recent L.A. shows hopefully by the end of the week.
